Planet Coffee, Hull
|
Planet Coffee is a big, brash coffee shop in Hull. |
It may be large but there are plenty of quiet corners. There are also plenty of sofas and, best of all, a small room upstairs filled only with bean bags. Great for children and, for that matter, anyone else capable of bending knees.

Apart from the beanbag zone, there is not much personality or charm. It feels like a chain, although it is (I understand) entirely independent. Even the service is Starbucks-style: order at the counter and wait in line for your coffee to appear.
On the upside, the range of coffee is substantial. It's a good place for hiding away and can accommodate groups, couples, lonely independent coffee sippers, and students (it's at the University end of Newland Ave).
