justbean, Leeds

A friendly, independent stall dedicated to delicious organic, ethically sourced coffee.

June 2011: Sadly, I understand Justbean has closed down.

Justbean is a permanent stall in the centre of Leeds. The owners developed a taste for all things ethical after visiting coffee plantations on their world travels. On return to England they set up this coffee bar, offering a significant variety of top notch coffee, cold drinks and fresh baguettes.

It may simply be a take-away, but the baristas take care over the drinks and invariably prepare a superb brew.

There is no seating, but it is nevertheless entirely deserving of a place in the annals of Cosy Coffee Shops because of its independence, ethical ethos and wonderful coffee.

Considering the dearth of good coffee houses in Leeds (update: this is no longer the case), this little place comes highly recommended.

Great to see independent coffee shops in Leeds. Lets make you popular so you can get some seats :-)

I went to Just Bean last September and had a coffee and unfortunately it was absolutely terrible.

This place has recently closed down which is a shame because the food was quite good.
