A Chacun sa Tasse, Lyon, France

France of course is famous for its coffee houses (they're called cafés over there).

Lyon is France's third largest city behind Paris and Marseille. It's equivallent in England is Leeds, and that's where the similarities end. Lyon is refreshingly relaxed and quiet. The nightlife is predominantly food-based (Lyon is the cuisine capital of France), perhaps except for the Old Town, which attracts the throngs of foreign students (my sister being one of them).

A Chacun sa Tasse is not in the most charming of spots. But to make up for it there is an incredible range of international teas and coffees. Pages and pages of them, in fact, from far flung corners of the world. For a good coffee, try the "maison mélange", a house mix.

It's a friendly place, charming, and full of nice tables (some are full of cinnamon sticks). It's highly recommended.
