The Apple Pie is a smashing place in the heart of the Lake District; it is highly recommended.
A café that is (a) the epitome of quaint and (b) very very old (see title). There are a whole 18 varieties of hot chocolate; so that’s 17 more than almost everywhere else.
This small, self-service coffee lounge is one of my favourites, and it is a good reason to visit Kirkby Stephen.
Haworth has strong connections with the Bronté sisters. The Main Street is a sloping cobbled path in the centre, with four or five cafés/tea rooms for tourists on their “Wuthering Heights” pilgrimage.
