Opening late in Birmingham is the smashing Urban Coffee Company.

It’s in two spots (“emporiums”) – Church Street, near the centre, which I visited, and the Jewellery Quarter, also fairly central.
It has been around for about 3 years, which almost makes it a veteran.

The Church Street branch is spacious and comfy, with plenty of atmosphere and the odd bit of coffee paraphernalia.
There’s plenty of food for snacking. Why not join in with a bit of “muffin Monday”?

The coffee comes from Limini, a Yorkshire roastery that also supplies Bean & Bud in Harrogate.
My coffee (a flat white) was really good and well presented.

There might be coffee shops in Brum with a more indie feel, but I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather hang out with a friend or two.
It’s a cool place with a good vibe. Highly recommended.
